I can't get enough of MMA (Mixed Martial Arts). 

Whenever I'm  watching, I always notice blood when it's been spilled in the ring.
This brings me to my question...
With all the blood and bodily fluids that pass between MMA fighters during an event, how often are the fighters tested for communicable diseases?

A Name Befitting...

If you have a name like this and are a public figure who behaves inappropriately 

1) you know you are going to get caught, and 

2) you should have seriously considered changing your last name to avoid headlines such as these:

 Today is officially the first day of summer for 2011.

 Needless to say I LOVE SUMMER!!! 

Everything comes alive when the SUN comes out.

So grab a tall, cold glass of iced tea, beer or any other thirst quencher,

your favorite sunscreen (Hawaiian Tropic, of course),

an Ipod full of  good music,

and head off to a quiet corner of your back yard or the beach to relax.

Aside from the obvious things ie: religion, family, health, money, water, air etc., name one of your favorite things that you think you could never live without and why.

I'll start with television, with my DVR coming in at a close second.

Stay At Home Saturday

Why is there a stigma attached to a person who stays home on a Saturday night? Moreover, why are some people afraid to admit that they enjoy a quiet night at home on a weekend? You don't have to be sick, married or have kids to have an excuse to stay home. Get over it, people! 

Having the need to party or get trashed every weekend, being a weathered barfly, groupie or a 40/50/60-something club hopper is just sad. Leave the "exiting the club at daybreak" to those in their 20's and early 30's.

As for me, after a grueling week of school, work, sports or just running around, I can admit that I love an occasional Saturday to myself or with a small group of friends. I don't feel any guilt in saving my partying for another weekend. You shouldn't either.

Enjoy your weekend.  Read a book, have a few friends over, go to a movie or for a run, get on Facebook or your blog, or just be a couch potato and don't give a second thought to what others may think. Just enjoy it!

Cougar Age Limit?

Many men throughout time have dated much younger women than themselves without society batting an eye ie: Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta Jones. 

Now that women have caught on to this trend and being a "cougar" has become acceptable and somewhat sexy, I can't help but think of couples like Anna Nicole Smith and J. Howard Marshall who have taken the age difference to the extreme. 

With this in mind, 

at what age does a woman become too old to be a cougar?

With television and movies being flooded with fresh meat young men such as these [below] now and days, it's no wonder why more and more women are grooming themselves for such a life.  Can you blame them?

Most Hated Commercial #2

Jennifer Hudson's Weight Watchers commercial is currently my #1 most hated.

I have now found my #2.

The AT&T Samsung Infuse 4g "Spider"

The fact that commercials are played purposefully louder than TV programs makes the screams of this woman much too obnoxious. I find I can't get to the remote control fast enough to change the channel.

This commercial is creative, but... must it be so annoying?

Blackbeard's Revenge Hot Sauce

"With a 30 second "fuse", this will make your mouth divorce your face!"

All I want to know is...

WHY?

This version is lacking a few ingredients (vinegar, red pepper flakes) that were added to the sauce when made from scratch on a "Man v. Food" episode that launched this sauce to popularity.

Who thinks these things up?

I think I'll give it a try.
