Heat Wave

Beautiful sunshine,

you know I love you, 

but why must you be so hot?

An ice cold bottle of water

on a day like today

just doesn't quite hit the spot.

Stuck in the house,

sweat pours like a river

from places I didn't know it could

I've now had enough,

I'm beyond fed up!

I CAN'T TAKE IT ANY MORE!!!

I'm grabbing my swimsuit,

my sunscreen, my drink and

I'm headed to the pool.

June 21st - The Official Day Of Summer

 Today is officially the first day of summer for 2011.

 Needless to say I LOVE SUMMER!!! 

Everything comes alive when the SUN comes out.

So grab a tall, cold glass of iced tea, beer or any other thirst quencher,

your favorite sunscreen (Hawaiian Tropic, of course),

an Ipod full of  good music,

and head off to a quiet corner of your back yard or the beach to relax.

I hope you enjoy this first day of summer!

Soothing Saturday

There are some things that soothe the soul like no other.

After laying out, the initial shock of cold water on very warm skin.
 Very refreshing.
