Phone Boundaries

Do you have any friends/family/coworkers/acquaintances who severely lack [cell] phone etiquette,  who know no boundaries when it comes to calling? After discussing this topic with a group of friends, it was surprising to find it more prevalent than previously thought, and we all know at least one person who fits this description. We have categorized these callers and given them the following labels:

The Rooster
This person always calls at the break of dawn under the delusion that they are proclaiming their territory.

The Vampire
This person never calls during daylight hours, only late at night to sucks you dry with their need to recap their entire day of nothing until you pass out from exhaustion.

The Duck
-aka-
The Passive-Aggressive
This person is calm and tranquil on the surface while a storm is stirring underneath.  - They take it personally and get angry when their first call goes unanswered and will never leave a message. When you return their call, they let it go to voicemail - their attempt at payback  - until they call you again shortly thereafter and pretend like everything is fine. If they're really upset they will attempt a game of phone tag, only calling again when they know you're unavailable. They'll never tell you they're angry until much later.

The Spinning Top
At the very thought that you might be home or available this person calls. Once they get going they continue calling, over and over, one call right after the other (a dozen times or more) until you either stop them by answering or they lose their momentum and stop.

Ghost Face
-aka-
Scream
You're enjoying a quiet night at home watching a movie or just relaxing when Ghost Face calls, not really having anything to say, but continues to try to engage you in meaningless conversation - then gets annoyed at your lack of participation yet continues with this behavior until all their friendships have died.

The Stalker
This person takes Ghost Face to the next level by going to a place they think you might be at (home, friends house, coffee shop etc.), they watch you from a distance as you go about your day, then they call. When you don't answer, they make their approach and you're trapped.

***

If you know someone who attempts this behavior, show this to them.

If after reading this you recognize yourself as fitting one of the above labels, consider yourself informed and stop it!

Are we missing any other types?
